POLICY & PURPOSE

PURPOSE

CareTrips, LLC. is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and clients. To achieve this goal, CareTrips has established the following policy regarding drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

POLICY

  • Prohibition of Drug Use: The use, possession, distribution, or sale of illegal drugs or unauthorized prescription drugs on company premises or during work hours is strictly prohibited. This policy applies to all employees, including full-time, part-time, temporary, and contract workers.
  • Alcohol Consumption: The consumption of alcohol during work hours, including breaks and lunch periods, is prohibited. Employees are also prohibited from reporting to work under the influence of alcohol.
  • Drug Testing: CareTrips reserves the right to conduct drug and alcohol testing for reasonable suspicion, post-accident, random testing, and as required by law. Refusal to submit to a drug test may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
  • Prescription Drugs: Employees who are taking prescription medication that may affect their ability to perform their job safely and effectively must notify their supervisor. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that their medication does not impair their ability to perform their job duties.”
